About the Role

Capital Markets Associate

Am Law 50 Firm

2nd-6th Class Years

New York, Hybrid working (3 days in office & 2 days WFH)

Our client is an Am Law 50 Law Firm, with a well renowned, high performing Capital Markets practice. The practice has gone from strength to strength, recently winning multiple awards in the industry, and are looking to add more talent to their expanding team.

The dynamic practices’ focus is evenly split between their Equity & Debt capital markets work. On the DCM side, there tends to be slightly more high yield work than investment grade. SEC compliance and corporate governance will also be a key part of the role. Around 70% of their work is issuer focused vs 30% underwriter side. They team represent a large range of clients ranging from financial institutions and globally recognized corporate entities to emerging/ venture-backed growth companies in the full spectrum of capital markets transactions.

What are the firm looking for?

  • 2- 6 years of experience in either equity or debt capital markets transactions (the Practice Chair is open to candidates looking to broaden their experience).
  • Previous experience working at an Am Law 50 firm.
  • An enthusiastic personality, and someone who enjoys working collaboratively (their collaborative culture is something they are proud of).
  • Must be admitted to practice is New York.
